- Grower of the month: Air so Pure

In the month of April we will highlight not 1 grower but 13! 13 growers who grow different plants have one thing in common: Plants with strong air-purifying properties.
A plant from Air So Pure:
- Neutralizes harmful gases
- Effectively convert Co2 into oxygen
- Is decorative and improves humidity
In this blog and accompanying video, we take you into the world of Air So Pure, where we also let 2 growers speak: Roy, from nursery Teun Valstar Shadowplant, and Patrick from nursery Bestplant.
Air purifying, how does that work?
Air So Pure plants breathe through the leaf mouths. These are microscopic holes in the underside of the leaves. During their breathing, they also absorb harmful substances from the air. They then break them down inside the plant into nutrients that they use later. Air So Pure plants do this better than other plants.
NASA has researched the differences between plants in absorbing and neutralizing harmful pollutants form the air. Since these tests, organizations such as Fytagoras and PPO (Practical Research Plant & Environment) are still conducting research into this group of Air So Pure plants, which provide a healthy and sustainable environment.
