•    Just Perfection: essentially, every anthurium that leaves Groene Tint is perfect in quality. Therefore, Just Perfection encompasses all the varieties they grow. Types in various pot sizes and colors, but always with the recognizable—and high—quality of Groene Tint: richly blooming, with decorative leaves standing on sturdy stems.
•    Red Perfection: there’s perfection and then there’s perfection, even among anthuriums. The highest degree of perfection is that of the Red Turenza. A houseplant like an explosion of Mother Nature: fresh dark green leaves that strikingly contrast with a flower in the deepest red. For ten years, Turenza has held a unique place in Groene Tint’s assortment. From 2023, in addition to Turenza, Minnesota will also be available as Red Perfection, both available in pot size 14 cm.

Not just green by name
“If you supply a natural product, isn’t it only logical to respect nature as much as possible?” Groene Tint invests in sustainable measures to save energy, reduce CO2 emissions, and decrease plastic waste:
•    Heat from the ground: by connecting to a geothermal source, Groene Tint has significantly saved on energy since 2022. From April to October, heating with natural gas is no longer necessary.
•    LED lighting instead of SON-T: LED lamps have replaced the usual SON-T lighting. This is already a significant saving, which is further increased by reducing the hours of lighting.
•    Dehumidifiers maintain humidity levels: instead of increasing pipe heating, Groene Tint uses dehumidifiers. These devices remove moist air from the greenhouse and blow in dry air.
•    Solar panels cover part of electricity consumption: with over 400 solar panels, Groene Tint provides half of its own electricity consumption: the power needed for daily operations, excluding lighting.
•    Less plastic, more paper: transparent plastic best expresses the allure of the anthurium. However, Groene Tint seeks a balance between luxury and sustainability. One of the options is to have different packaging lines coexist. For smaller pot sizes, Groene Tint has already switched to cardboard boxes instead of plastic trays.
•    Biological pest control where possible: in Groene Tint’s greenhouses, there is hardly any need for chemicals to grow and bloom anthuriums. There are plenty of biological agents to effectively combat diseases and pests.
