With an annual production of 11 million plants, The Orchid Growers is a leading sales organization when it comes to Phalaenopsis. The Orchid Growers is founded in January 2022. Ter Laak Orchids and Orchios are the nurseries behind The Orchid Growers. The assortment is a wide range of special collections from pot sizes 7 up to 21 cm. Behind the beautiful plants hides a lot of technology. The state of the art technology is incredibly progressive in terms of sustainability. It’s in the DNA of the company and is always an important point for new cultivation developments. An example is the sustainable Daylight Greenhouse, built in 2018. Sunrays are centered through special lenses on a tube containing flowing water. In this way, the sun heats up the water in the tubes. The warm water is then stored underground, to be used later on during the nights or in the colder winter period. This heat is used directly or at a later time for heating the greenhouse.
