With over forty years of experience in cultivating potted lilies in the heart of the Westland region, Van Schie is a proud supplier of Decorum and is known for its craftsmanship, innovative strength, and sustainable cultivation methods. Every year, millions of plants leave the greenhouse, destined for consumers both at home and abroad.
Potted lilies with character
Van Schie offers a wide and colourful year-round assortment of potted lilies. The plants are available in various pot sizes and flower colours, known for their long shelf life and abundant blooming. One of the most striking varieties in the range is the Roselily. A unique collection of double-flowered Oriental lilies without pollen.
What makes the Roselily so special is its elegant layers of petals, refined fragrance, and lack of pollen. This makes the plant not only clean and safe for allergy sufferers but also eliminates the risk of pollen stains. New novelties are regularly introduced within the Roselily series, such as special colour variations or more compact growth forms, which are perfectly tailored to the needs of florists, consumers, and interior trends.
Chrysanne®: colourful pot chrysanthemums with lasting appeal
In addition to potted lilies, Van Schie also grows the well-known Chrysanne® pot chrysanthemums. These plants are celebrated for their abundant bloom and excellent shelf life. The assortment includes several collections, such as the double-flowered Grandezza, the single-flowered Margarita, and the special Anemona. Chrysanne® chrysanthemums are delivered in bloom, ensuring that consumers enjoy a full flowering period indoors or in the garden. Each plant is the result of careful cultivation, selection, and strict quality control.
Sustainable choices in every season
At Van Schie, top quality goes hand in hand with sustainability. The company invests extensively in renewable energy. Thanks to geothermal heat, solar energy, and the use of flexible LED lighting, cultivation is entirely fossil-free from mid-March to mid-October. Surplus solar energy is stored for times when sunlight is less abundant.
Sustainability at Van Schie also means using natural predators to combat pests and diseases, significantly reducing the need for non-biological treatments. Every plant is grown with a focus on efficiency, responsibility, and environmental care.
Stronger together with Decorum
As part of Decorum, Van Schie collaborates with more than sixty growers who share the same passion for quality and greenery. Under this shared brand, plants are marketed that meet the highest standards in cultivation, care, and presentation. The partnership with Decorum ensures a broad network, knowledge sharing, and a strong market position.
