OZ Planten aims for 100% sustainable sourcing in 2025

Together we make the floriculture sector more sustainable and we do this with our passion for plants! Sustainable purchasing is one of the pillars of OZ Planten's sustainable policy. And that is why we strive for 100% sustainable sourcing in 2025.

What is sustainable sourcing?
The Floriculture Sustainability Initiative was established in 2013. Dutch Flower Group is one of the founding fathers of this great initiative. The FSI Basket of Standards consists of measurable and actionable sustainable goals. One of the standards within FSI are MPS and Global Gap. The practical requirements deal with traceability, the environment, safety and hygiene within the company.

We already work with 100% certified growers for a number of customers. We encourage growers who are not yet certified to become FSI compliant in the nearby future.

We are proud to work with suppliers and customers who are at the forefront of sustainability. Every month we share a blog with an inspiring story from the sector. There is still a lot to share from all sustainable initiatives. And we do this under the name 'Beleaf in green'. Read here, for example, the story about the Bestplant nursery, which grows almost gas-free by using geothermal heat.
