Amazing Autumn
Goodbye summer, hello autumn!
The days are getting shorter and the temperature is getting lower, time to bring some warm autumn colours into the home and garden. Our buying team has made a special plant selection for our newest theme “Amazing Autumn”. The assortment contains extraordinary beautiful colours, shades, leaf patterns and plant species with berries, such as Heuchera, Chrysanthemum, Aster, Cucurbita, Solanum and many more.
Chrysanthemum
The Chrysanthemum is a must when you think about plants for the autumn. What a gorgeous and versatile plant! With its many flowers and rounded shapes it can dress up a front door or garden in no time. The Chrysanthemum is not only available in many colours, but also in many shapes and sizes. Plenty choice for everyone.
Solanum pseudocapsicum
The orange “apples” of the Solanum pseudocapsicum definitely steal the show. The plant can be used for in- and outdoors. It is a low-growing bush that produces white flowers in the summer and yellow and orange berries in the autumn. Beautiful colours for an autumn atmosphere! A plant that cannot be missed at our “Amazing Autumn” selection. The variety “Megaballs” grows extra large fruits for even more ornamental value.
Cyclamen
The amazing white, pastel and brightly coloured flowers the Cyclamen makes you forget the dark days. It’s a strong bloomer with gorgeous green leaves. She is a real eye-catcher in the garden and when it is going to freeze, she’s also a beauty for at home. Cyclamen are available in different species and sizes, various from potsize 7 till 23 cm. And don’t forget to take a look at our grower of the month Bergcamp. This grower has a few new species, such as the Crayon and Edge.
Asters
The Aster ensures a sea of flowers in the garden. When most plants have finished flowering the Aster is a real eye-catcher in the garden with her beautiful white, pink, purple and red colour. Did you know that this perennial has one of the longest flowering periods of all garden plants? This is one of the reasons why this beauty is one of our favourites.
Calluna
Besides all the red and orange colours of the autumn, the striking colours of the Calluna should not be missing either. This garden plant produces plenty of colour with its long shoots in the autumn. A real beauty for the autumn that continues to bloom year after year.
Erica
Just like the Calluna, the Erica also belong in our Amazing Autumn selection. It looks a lot like the Calluna, but has a slightly different growth habit. The flowers are a little bit looser and the leaves can appear in many colours, such as green, yellow, orange and even bronze! Even without the flowers the Erica is a beauty to look at.
Heuchera
Get your customers in the Indian Summer mood with the Heuchera. This beauty is available in many colours and is ideal for the border. With this plant you can really go either way! Do you like flowers in the garden? Or do you prefer fresh of warm shades? Everything is possible. You can also combine different colours Heuchera for a playful effect.
